The Beaver Creek Volunteer Fire Department had a few people come by their open house on Saturday, Dec. 21 to visit with Santa, the Grinch and an elf. The department collected money and gifts for children to make a merry Christmas for those less fortunate.
The department's fire truck, decorated in Christmas lights, travelled around the community playing Christmas songs over the weekend.
The Beaver Creek Volunteer Fire Department loves to hold community events like this, but they have found it is getting more and more expensive. If you have empties, bring them to the express line at the Bottle Depot and key in their phone number — 250-723-2313 — to send donations to their society.
