The 52nd annual Ashcroft Art Club Fine Art Show and Sale has come and gone, and was another great success, with people coming from all over to view the artwork on display.
Attendees were very vocal in their appreciation of all the entries, and those who attended the Friday night opening were especially pleased with the tradition continuing.
Local students were able to tour the display on the last day, and showed their appreciation of the dozens of pieces in this year’s show.
As always, those visiting the show were able to vote for their favourite pieces. Heidi Roy’s “Thompson River Mesas” placed first in the People’s Choice category, and Guy Lundstrom’s “View from the Accademia Bridge” (top r) placed first in the Students’ Choice category. Runners-up (clockwise from bottom l) were “Brandie”, “Conway”, and “Flight of the Eagle” by Marianne Munro (Students’ Choice) and “Autumn Light” by Marilyn Anderson and “Owl III” by Laura Hedges (People’s Choice).
