Business leaders and community members network share ideas at South Island Prosperity Partnership's March event, Rising Economy 2025.

The South Island Prosperity Partnership (SIPP) is inviting businesses and residents to weigh in on Greater Victoria’s economic future at a public open house on Tuesday, May 27, at the COAST Ocean Innovation Hub.

Rising Economy Open House runs from 4 to 7 p.m. at 517 Herald St. in Victoria. Attendees can explore displays of eight to 10 solutions and opportunities for economic resilience, provide feedback to help shape and refine these proposals, share ideas, ask questions and network with local business and community leaders.

“This is an important moment for our community throughout the Greater Victoria Region to weigh in on strategies that will shape the future of our region’s economy,” said Aaron Stone, CEO of SIPP, in a press release. “By opening the doors and inviting feedback, we’re ensuring the solutions reflect local values, strengths and the voices of those who live, work and lead businesses here.”

Admission is free and open to everyone. Those who wish to register or get more details can email info@southislandprosperity.ca.

Input gathered at the event will feed into the work of SIPP’s Rising Economy Taskforce, assembled in March 2025 to engage leaders from Destination Greater Victoria, the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority, the University of Victoria, JLL, local financial institutions and others.
